Electromagnetic micro testing machine, MMT

Shimadzu (Japan)

Description

Shimadzu MMT (Microservo) electromagnetic micro testing machines are designed for precision dynamic and fatigue testing of miniature specimens, thin materials, and small components. The electromagnetic actuator produces controlled low forces without a hydraulic system, making it useful in clean laboratory environments.

Depending on the model, the series provides maximum test forces from ±10 to ±500 N and strokes of up to ±2 or ±10 mm. Maximum cycling frequency is 60 or 100 Hz depending on the model. The actuator can be installed above or below the specimen, and the test area can accommodate optical observation equipment and optional fixtures.

Features

  • Precise electromagnetic control of low forces and displacements.
  • Fatigue and endurance testing of small specimens.
  • Force and stroke control using Controller 4830.
  • Actuator versions with ±2 or ±10 mm stroke.
  • Optional fixtures for testing biomaterials.
