Electromagnetic dynamic testing machine, EMT

Shimadzu (Japan)

Description

Shimadzu EMT electromagnetic testing machines are designed for dynamic and fatigue testing of materials and components under repeated loads. Their electromagnetic actuator requires no hydraulic oil and enables precise force and displacement control, low operating noise, and convenient laboratory operation.

The series includes configurations with rated dynamic forces of ±1 and ±5 kN. Maximum frequency, speed, and stroke depend on the specific model: frequency can reach 200 Hz, speed 2 m/s, and stroke ±50 mm. The large test space accommodates fixtures and an optional temperature chamber.

Features

  • Electromagnetic drive without a hydraulic power unit or oil.
  • Force- and displacement-controlled testing.
  • Configurations for high-speed repeated loading and fatigue investigations.
  • Servo Controller 4830 for test control.
  • Optional testing in a controlled-temperature environment.
