Description
The Shimadzu IRXross Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectrophotometer is designed for qualitative and quantitative analysis of substances using their infrared spectra. Combining high sensitivity, a compact footprint, and straightforward operation, it is suitable for analyzing polymers, pharmaceutical materials, chemicals, contaminants, and foreign particles.
With a KBr optical window, the signal-to-noise ratio reaches 55,000:1; Shimadzu specifies 42,000:1 for the KRS-5 window. The wavenumber range is 7,800–350 cm⁻¹, with spectral resolution down to 0.25 cm⁻¹. IR Pilot simplifies routine measurements and data analysis, while the optional Rapid Scan mode supports the study of fast processes.
