Description
The Shimadzu ICPMS-2040 ICP mass spectrometer is a quadrupole inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry system designed for qualitative and quantitative multielement analysis. It is intended for trace-element measurements in water, food, pharmaceutical materials, and other samples following appropriate preparation. Its optimized Mini-Torch System, collision cell, and quadrupole mass filter combine high sensitivity with efficient argon use.
The ICPMS-2040 uses helium collision mode to reduce spectral interferences, including those caused by polyatomic ions. High-speed cell gas purging, ProActive Rinsing, and Extended Rinsing help reduce analysis time and sample carryover. LabSolutions ICPMS software provides preset analytical methods and instrument status monitoring tools.
