Description
The Shimadzu TOC-1000e total organic carbon analyzer is a compact on-line instrument from the eTOC series designed for automated monitoring of organic contaminants in pure and ultrapure water. In addition to total organic carbon (TOC), the system measures conductivity or specific resistance and water temperature. Its high sensitivity, with a detection limit of 0.1 µg/L, makes the analyzer suitable for water purification systems and water quality monitoring in the pharmaceutical, chemical, electronics, and other industries.
The TOC-1000e uses ultraviolet oxidation of organic compounds followed by conductivity detection. A mercury-free excimer lamp operating at a wavelength of 172 nm, combined with Active-Path technology, provides efficient UV irradiation of the sample and oxidation of organic contaminants without chemical oxidizing reagents. The instrument supports automated measurements at selectable intervals and remote monitoring of results via a network.
