Description
The Shimadzu XSeeker 8000 benchtop X-ray computed tomography system is a compact microfocus CT system designed for non-destructive inspection of the internal structure of materials and industrial components. The instrument features a 160 kV X-ray generator that enables examination of thick-walled plastic parts, aluminum die castings, and other metal components.
The system combines high image quality with fast and simple operation. The operator places the sample, selects one of four preset scanning conditions, and starts the measurement. The fastest mode completes scanning in just 12 seconds, while reconstructed CT data can be displayed approximately 10 seconds after scanning is completed.
Features
- High-output X-ray generator operating at 160 kV and 1.2 mA for examining plastic and metal components.
- Flat panel detector with a pixel pitch of approximately 50 µm and a maximum input resolution of approximately 5.6 million pixels.
- Spatial resolution of up to 100 µm for detailed examination of internal material structures.
- Fast scanning in 12 seconds or high-quality scanning in 5 minutes.
- Simple operation with four preset scanning conditions based on sample material and required image quality.
- Guide light for accurate sample positioning and no need for calibration before each sample placement.
- Software for viewing two-dimensional cross-sections and three-dimensional images, performing measurements, and exporting 3D models in STL format.
- Compact benchtop design weighing 290 kg for quality control laboratories and industrial facilities.
Applications
- Non-destructive inspection of the internal structure of components and assemblies.
- Detection of cavities, porosity, cracks, and other internal defects.
- Examination of aluminum die castings and other metal components.
- Inspection of plastic parts, polymer materials, and complex structures.
- Analysis of internal component geometry during product development, manufacturing, and quality control.
