Description
The Shimadzu AA-7800 atomic absorption spectrometer is a configurable system for quantitative elemental analysis of water, food, pharmaceutical materials, raw materials, and other laboratory samples. It operates over the 185–900 nm wavelength range and supports flame and electrothermal atomization methods depending on the selected configuration.
The series includes the flame-only AA-7800F, furnace-only AA-7800G, and combined configurations equipped with the GFA-7800 graphite furnace. With suitable accessories, the AA-7800F/AAC can automatically switch between flame and furnace modes, while an AA-7800F-based system may use manual switching. Flame measurements use double-beam optics, whereas furnace measurements employ a high-throughput single-beam optical system.
Features
- Automatic turret for 8 hollow-cathode lamps, with two lamps energized simultaneously for measurement and preheating.
- Two background correction methods: deuterium lamp (D₂) and high-speed self-reversal (SR).
- Automatic flame gas flow optimization; automatic burner-height optimization in AA-7800F/AAC configurations.
- Optional ASC-7800 autosampler for automated sequential analysis.
- Optional accessories for hydride generation, cold-vapor mercury analysis, and other specialized applications.
- Software tools for method setup, quality control, result processing, and data management.
The supplied components, available atomization modes, and automation functions depend on the selected configuration and optional modules.
