Description
Torque control instrument for right and left rotation, especially suitable for spring testing. This manually operated device features two adjustable detents for consecutive angular tests. The monolithic design includes precision guides with a ball screw transmission. The instrument is equipped with high-resolution electronic load sensors for torque measurement, and a digital encoder with 0.1° resolution for angular position control. Automatic compensation of torsion sensor elasticity is provided.
The torsiometer features adjustable carriages for defining the torsion point and can operate with either zero relative to the spring contact or an absolute zero reference.
Operating principle
The device measures torque directly, ensuring consistent results even if the application points differ. Thus, lever positioning does not require high precision.
Digital section
The digital control panel displays torque and angle values on two screens. Measurement units are kg·mm and N·mm; English units can be enabled upon request. The instrument’s functions are defined via the keypad and include:
- automatic zero adjustment and resetting at any point for both torque and angle;
- recalibration, reference torque setting, and memory saving;
- support for multiple load sensors (optional);
- tolerance settings for three values with light indicator feedback;
- data transmission.
The instrument is equipped with an RS232 output for PC connection.
