Spectrum correction functions are included as standard, enabling real-time display of corrected spectra. This allows the acquisition of true excitation and fluorescence spectra by compensating for the emission characteristics of the light source and the optical system of the device. The corrected spectra can easily be compared with those obtained on other instruments, improving inter-laboratory reproducibility. The spectral correction functions are implemented using calibrated reference light sources and Shimadzu’s proprietary correction techniques. When using an integrating sphere, the correction function is automatically activated, eliminating the need for a dedicated calibration source.
